New Customs area now open!

Hi all. I've just turned on a new area in the Ozzelorium. A pretty interesting and hopefully exciting one, its our Customs area. Here we will have anything from custom toys like Mini munny's/teddy troopers etc to hand painted canvas's and prints. Pretty much anythng goes!! :)

Expect some new things to appear in this new area of wonder soooooon.

New Release!

Hey all!
Well next week we've got another little treat for you, a new limited range of Ozzels are going up for sale; The Hellfire Punishers!

These little fellas are a new colour variant of the original Punisher design that Paul came up with, and it'll be a range of 6, as that's as close as I could realistically come to the number of the beast with them...
Anyway, painting will be completed over the weekend, and as soon as Paul is back from holiday, they'll go up for sale (as I'm a bit dunce-y with websites...). Catch them whilst you can as our previous releases have gone pretty fast!

Off on holiday and new Custom Ozzel photos

Hi all, just a little update for you. I'm pootling off on holiday for 2 weeks cruising around the Canaries. How posh!!! haha. So the website updates are being left in the capable hands of Jon.

Shortly after I return there will be some new exciting news for Porlzilla I think. :)

Also, I finished doing a custom Ozzel and pin-badge for a mate at work and posted up some photos to my gallery for you all too see. Im really pleased with how it turned out and hopefully so will the new owner. :P

The pin-badge is a little special I think.

Anyway, I will catch up with the website etc in 2 weeks time.

Porlzilla now with 100% more RSS!

Thats right! After an email asking for mailing list info for porlzilla it got me thinking of RSS feeds. After thinking it would be really hard to do I asked my mate and he helped me sort it out easy peasey. Hooray!

Now if you look at the address bar in your browser (at the top) you'll see a mini RSS icon. Simply click on that and subscribe. If you use iGoogle as your homepage (like I do) you can have the news feed updating in there. Or put it in your prefered RSS reader and every new news info we post up will automatically update in your news feed. :)

After a brilliant week all the Bubblehearts have been bought and will be winging their way across the globe. Thanks to everyone thats bought them, its such a good feeling that people dig the Ozzel's so much! :D

New Ozzel Colourway : The Bubblehearts

Hi all, here is the new colourway for the Ozzels, freshly finished today!The Bubblehearts! Something a little different from the other ozzels released, really I guess they are 2 colourway's in one release. A Boy and Girl version of these cute little guys.

In each of the boxes (both colour versions) you get 2 handmade Bubbleheart badges and a little printed background story on how they came about in the Ozzelverse.

If you like the look of these little dudes, cruise over to the Ozzelorium (or click the pic above) and check out the photos.

Porlzilla PSP wallpapers

Hi all, I've recently dug out my PSP to get back into Katamari Damacy and Metal Gear Solid : portable ops and decided to make up some Porlzilla themed wallpapers for it. Give it a bit of a funky look.

Well I ended up doing a couple of them and thought I would put them up here bundled into an archive file for you lot (if you own PSP's that is) to download.

Simply download the archive by clicking on the above image, copy the jpg's to PSP/PHOTOS/PORLZILLA/ and set them in the PSP Photo browser.

I hope you like them! They certainly brighten the little machine up. :)

Punisher Ozzel shown in Clutter Issue 12!

Yep thats right! When we released the Punisher colourway of the Ozzel (the very first colourway) we emailed Clutter magazine to see if they would be interested in showing the Ozzel in their magazine. You never know unless you ask hey? And they emailed back saying they would try to get it in the next issue.

Well, at the droplet launch party on friday night I bought a copy of Issue 12 and what did I see on page 7? You guessed it!!! The little Punisher is sitting there being all cool!!!!!! Stoked much?!!?! you better believe it!! haha. It might not seem much but to have your own toy, which you've made from nothing in one of the few designer toy magazines about is a brilliant feeling!!

We highly recommend you go out and pick up a copy of Clutter. Its a brilliant UK magazine full of all the news your going to be into. If your into Ozzel's then your into designer toys and thats what Clutter is all about.

There is also a great interview with friends of Porlzilla, Go Go Plastic. And plenty more to inspire you to either buy some new toys or get your sculpting fingers out and give it a go. :o)

Also, just a little news update on new Ozzel colourways. Expect to see something new in the next 2 weeks ;) Something a little different, well, from the original colourway designs anyway.

Limited Edition Exhibition Pieces Now Onsale!

We also found out from the visit to GGP! yesterday that all the pieces made for the Limited Edition Exhibition are now onsale through the Go Go Plastic shop : here :

If there were some items that you really wanted on the night but didnt have enough money, but you've now saved up enough you can wizz over to the online shop and snatch that sucker up! And believe me, there are some amazing pieces of art made for this show! :)

Also, as this is an Ozzel website we cant really not post up a link to the Ozzel I made for the show. ;)

If you fancy getting your hands on a one-off clear plastic resin, thats right! clear plastic resin!! :D hand flocked Ozzel with a custom sculpted bamboo stalk and a hand-painted mini canvas backdrop then click the above image to go to the GGP! shop page. :o)

Another month another exhibition

Yep that's right, fresh on the heels of the Limited Edition exhibition at Go Go Plastic! in Birmingham last month Porlzilla have created some custom Mini Munnys for this months exhibition : Show Me the (Mini) Munny.

Go Go Plastic! are celebrating the release of the new Mini Munny DIY toy with a 2 week exhibition showcasing loads of custom painted Mini's. Jon has painted up 3 in a really striking black and white style for this exhibition and I've painted up 1 called Jekyll.

If you are in the area of Birmingham in the next 2 weeks head on over to the shop and check out all the Mini Munny's that will be on the shelves there! Hopefully what you see will inspire you to buy a Munny (or whichever DIY toy that grabs your eye) and get painting and creating. :)

If you get to go have a great time checking all the little fella's out! If you cant make it to the show we will be taking photos on saturday when we go and we'll have a gallery posted up like the Limited Edition gallery in the below post.

We've had a few requests asking about articulation, so we've put up a little diagram online hoping to explain the method we intend to use. It's a fairly simple and we imagine, standard type of articulation. There may be better methods out there, but for ease of casting, this is what we've come up with. Obviously this will work best with vinyl, most resins, and most plastics, but plaster resin will fracture when you try to put the plug in the body socket.

Limited Edition Exhibition photos

Hi all. Well the opening night of the show was a great success I think. The little shop was absolutely packed out! Loads of brilliant art (some me and my lil brother even bought) made for a really good cause. Both me and Jon really enjoyed prowling around the shop and chatting away to the contributors.

The show is highly recommended and if you can get down to birmingham definetly check out the show. :)

As promised earlier in the week. Here are a few sneaky peeky photos of the piece (well, pieces) i've done for the Limited Edition exhibition tomorrow evening. Im really pleased with them as I've never painted a canvas before. And the Ozzel is a very very one off version, with a sculpey accessory!!

I hope some of you guys can go to the exhibition over the next few weeks and see all the awesome artwork on show. I'll be heading over to the shop in about an hour to drop them off with the Goodies bags.

Limited Edition Exhibition

The time is drawing very close! This friday is the opening evening of the Limited Edition Exhibition at Go Go Plastic! in Birmingham. :) The show is going to run from this friday night (14th March) at 7pm till the 30th March.

There is going to an absolute tonne of artists showing work there! As Toy Break said "A HUUGE list of contributing artists!" I for one can't wait to see everyones work shown on the opening night! There is going to be live painting, goodie bags (printed by yours truly) and good times!

So if your in the area head on over as Im sure its going to be great! :D

Im going to post up some little sneak images of the piece im doing for the show this week, so keep 'em peeled.

Yep thats right. If you attempt to look in our Personal Galleries or in the Ozzelorium you'll get broken pages. I have no idea why as honesty I didnt touch anything guv'nor!!! It was like that when I found it!

But rest assured (touching wood while wearing a wooden suit in the middle of a forest) i'll re-upload the files tonight after work and everything will be shiny again. :)

Sorry for the inconvenience, the internet is still a cruel mistress! I'll tame her one day though!!

Monochrome Ozzels on sale!!

At last the Monochrome Ozzels are available for sale! (winner!) I finished putting all the boxes together and sealing everything up with my grubby little hands at the end of the week, and after a few frantic chats with Porl, we've finally got them online and available for sale!!!

They will again be very limited editions, just like the Punishers that proved so popular, and it'll be a one-off run of 10 toys, each individually numbered and signed by the artist. Yep you've read right, all 10 of the DIY Ozzels have now sold. We cant wait to see what you guys come up with for our little toys!

The first batch of D.I.Y. Blank Ozzels are now onsale!

YEP!!!!! Here is the news I eluded too the other day. We have 10 D.I.Y. Blank Ozzels for sale now in the Ozzelorium! A few people have been asking for blank ozzels to customise and paint up themselves so we've done some work and made some available for you all!

There is only 10 available at the moment but we will be casting out extras every now and then so they should be an ongoing Ozzel item. :o)

We're really happy to say that all the Punisher Versions of the Ozzels are now sold. I cant believe how well received they are and how fast they have all gone! Its been a crazy week of hitting the post office every lunchtime posting the little fella's off to their new homes.

Well, we will be following the Punisher Ozzels with some more releases very soon indeed! So keep an eye on the site and hopefully Sunday night/monday morning we will have some more news for you guys.

PUNISHERS ARE FINALLY ON SALE!!

Finally the Punisher version of the Ozzels are on sale!!! :o) I finished making up the boxes and wrapping them all up snug earlier today.

These are quite special to us as they are the very first colourway of the Ozzels to go on sale and funnily enough were the first design made for the Ozzels. Its been a very interesting journey learning how to make them, paint them, make badges and box them up but it has been nothing but great fun!

We hope you like the look of them as we certainly do haha. They are a rather limited quantity as every step of them have been hand made (except for the laser printer and the card pulping ;o) ) which makes them a very personal toy.
